The National Tea Museum in Raddusa

In the heart of Sicily, in a small village called Raddusa (in the region of Catania), near the more popular Piazza Armerina, lies the only Tea Museum in Italy. Here you can admire numerous exhibits linked with the history of tea, including a permanent exhibition of 500 teapots of the Chinese city of Yixing, as well as ceremony utensils used by Berbers, Bedouins, Ethiopians, Iranians, English (for morning or high tea), French, Singhalese and Burmese.
In the tea room, which you access barefoot, you can taste from 100 to 150 types of tea depending on the season, that come from various parts of the world; some unblended teas, some with added aromatic flavours, many imported directly during exploration journeys.
The museum is located in an old dwelling, where calm and peacefulness reign.
