This beautiful house, which belongs to an important aristocratic Sicilian family, is situated in the residential area of Mondello, which has been, since the beginning of the century, the location the inhabitants of Palermo have preferred for their summer holiday. The property comprises a beautiful 3000 square meter park, with lawn and several Mediterranean plants, like citrus, olive, pine and palm trees. Besides the main house there is a wide outbuilding the owners use as guest house. From the garden you can enjoy a nice view on Monte Pellegrino and in a few minutes you can reach the beach.

In front of the house there is a wide patio furnished with comfortable sofas, armchairs and a dining table seating 8 people. From the patio you enter the one level house which consists of a wide living room, with sofas and dining area, a spacious Sicilian-style kitchen, two double bedrooms, one of them with ensuite bathroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. At the back of the house, next to the kitchen, there’s a covered laundry room. In the eastern side of the garden, 20 meters from the main house, there is the outbuilding which consists of a sitting room with sofas and a library, an American-style kitchen, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a bedroom with bunk beds, and another bathroom with shower. The outbuilding has got its own covered patio with dining table and outdoor sofas, and it is entirely independent.

If you want to enjoy a wonderful vacation by the sea and at the same time admire the beauty of western Sicily, discover Palermo’s architectural masterpieces or visit Monreale then you may choose Mondello as your starting point. To the west are the amazing beaches of Scopello (the Zingaro nature reserve) and San Vito lo Capo which can be reached in around 40 minutes by car. Just over one hour by car in the same direction is the medieval town of Erice, the salt pans of Trapani, the island of Mozia and the Egadi islands and the Marsala wineries. To the east, after a drive of around one hour, you can reach Solunto and Cefalù. To the south are Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, Eraclea Minoa and Scala dei Turchi, all of which can be reached after a drive of around an hour and a half.
Within walking distance from the villa there are some nice cafes (La Capannina is excellent), restaurants (worthy of mention are Bye Bye Blues, le Antiche Mura and Sapori di Mare), pizzeria/restaurants (Villa Antigone) and a supermarket (Olimpo and GS).
If you are looking for even greater peace and tranquillity, especially during high season (July and August) when the beach at Mondello can become a little crowded, we suggest a visit to the seashore near the Riserva di Capo Gallo (also within walking distance) were you will be able to find some isolated spots to swim or alternatively the rocky shores of the Addaura. The best periods to visit are April, May, the first half of June, the second half of September and October.

When the main house is vacant or when the owners stay there, it is possible to rent just the outbuilding.
If you rent the main house you will have the exclusive use of the whole property and the outbuilding won't be rented to any other guest.
